What is the linux format? In short, Linux is an operating system, just like Windows and OSX are operating systems. It talks to the computer's hardware, makes sure everything's going OK, and then you run programs on top of it. As they are different operating systems, you cannot without the use of any external programs use Linux projects on a Windows platform. What is the pandora format? The Pandora handheld is a powerful Linux based handheld console. For more information, please have a look at Openpandora.org. What are CG Points? CG Points are points gained by each member when contributing to the site. You can gain points from submitting games and applications or posting comments throughout the site or in the forums. How many user levels are there? There are 4 levels of standard membership, as well as featured membership, donator, and featured donator user levels. To find out how to reach these levels, click here. Can I become a featured member? Featured members are hand picked by staff member because of their contributions to the community. If you would like to become a featured member, please contribute your games and applications or become a valued member of the community. Games And Applications Questions What content is allowed? All games or applications made by you or your team can be published on the site. All content must be in a fully working state (i.e. no demos) to be published on the site. Beta's are allowed, though it must be stated in the title and description. For more information, please read the Terms and conditions for adding content. Can I add released progams or Abandonware to the site? No. Only content created by you can be added to the site. Any Abandonware games added to the site have done so with permission from the original developers. Can I add games/applications created by someone else? No. You have to be the original creator of all the games and applications you add. If any games and/or applications are found not to be yours, you account will be banned from the site. Staff members can add games on behalf of other people, but this is only done with the owner’s permission and/or the project has been announced as Abandonware and released to the public for free. Can I add my demo/work in progress? We only allow fully working/playable games and applications on the site. Beta's of games and aplications are allowed if clearly stated but only for bug finding purposes. Early alpha/beta's can be added to the forums. Staff have previously added my game/application but I have now joined the site. If you have now joined the site and would like to have your games/applications added to your own membership’s portfolio, please send a message to staff member or reply to your original contact email sent to you by a staff member. Can I report a game/application? Yes – There are numerous ways to do this. You can leave a comment on the games page; leave a low ranking 1-star review, post the problem in the forums and contact a staff member. The game/application will then be put under review and the member who added it will be held accountable. Can I release beta tests of my projects? Beta versions of programs are allowed to be added to the site, as long as they are in a working state (i.e. It does what it's supposed to do, albeit with a few bugs). They must be clearly stated as beta in the title and decription while adding it to the site. Early beta's can be released in the forums. Can Creative-Gaming host my project for me? If you are a donator/featured/featured donator member, we will host any project for you, according to your terms and conditions at becoming a donator/featured/featured donator. If you are a standard member, feel free to post a hosting request in the forums. If your account was banned, there is no way to make un-ban or re-register to the site. Don't worry though, banned members are only banned for a reason. |
